Since 2009, we have been producing our family owned and operated, award winning extra virgin olive oil
Our unique olive oil
In 2009, D’Oliva Olive Oil was launched because we love good healthy food, we love putting our land to work, and we love people. Creating a high quality extra virgin olive oil brings all three together.
What makes our oil unique? At D’Oliva, we planted with a specific taste profile in mind. We chose six traditional Tuscan varietals to create a flavor profile that results in an intense yet balanced olive oil. The goal of this field blend was to create an incredible olive oil that pairs well with great food. We believe it achieves this goal, and we think you’ll agree!
Our grove is situated on a family ranch in the community of Sunol in Northern California. The 120-acre property has most recently been used for cattle and horses, though there are signs that it was terraced and farmed for grapes in the 19th Century.
So much more than a mass produced product, each tree is nurtured by hand and inspected weekly. Our olives are harvested at the optimal time of year and rushed to the mill within 24 hours. The liquid gold that results is so worth the year of hard work.
Meet D’Aun
D’Aun Goble is the founder of D’Oliva Olive Oil. After studying economics & business in college, raising two kids, working for the family real estate company, and constantly redoing her yard and garden, she eventually decided to pursue her hidden passion for farming. Knowing of her love for olive oil, her husband suggested olives as a possibility, but it wasn’t until a trip to Italy that the idea really began to take shape. With the help of classes at UC Davis, a few key consultants, and a supportive family, the first olive trees were planted in 2009.
An outgoing and high-energy personality, with a friendly smile and quick laugh, D’Aun has brought her character into the D’Oliva operation. Her engaging personality inspires friends and family to pull weeds, dig holes, push heavy wheel barrels and harvest until well after sunset. Her daughter Rachel, son-in-law Sam and son Jedd are involved with every harvest. And though Roy, her high school sweetheart and husband of many years, much prefers to argue with suppliers about price and negotiate with contractors, he has been known to regularly put on his boots and help with every task in the grove.
